A story on the Cincinnati Zoo Academy in the Jan. 29, 2003, issue of Education Week incorrectly reported the toxicity of a tarantula's venom. The spider's poison has little effect on humans and other warm-blooded animals. The story also implied that Nick Imholte, a student at the academy, did not understand that the spider's bite is not fatal.
