The Council for Advancement and Support of Education has named Vance T.
Peterson as its president. The Washington-based association supports
the work of professionals in alumni relations, fund raising, and public
relations at more than 3,000 colleges, universities, and private
schools in 42 countries.
Mr. Peterson, 55, has served as the president of Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Nev., since 1996. He will begin his job in January.
