REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS
*May 29--Technology innovation: Proposals are due for the Technology Innovation Challenge Grants, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. The grants will focus on professional development to help prepare new teachers and support experienced teachers in the effective use of technology in teaching. The five-year awards will range from $1 million to $2 million per year. Each application must be submitted by a local education agency on behalf of a consortium of partners with resources for providing innovative professional-development programs for teachers, administrators, and other educators.
