The Education Department has published proposed regulations for several recently enacted adult-literacy programs. The announcement appeared in the Oct. 28 Federal Register, comments are due Dec. 27.

Medicaid
The Department of Health and Human Services has issued a new version of controversial rules that would limit the ways in which states can generate matching funds under the Medicaid program, as well as proposed rules that would restrict their ability to raise funds for hospitals that disproportionately serve Medicaid patients. The announcements appeared in the Oct. 31 Federal Register.
