Study Finds Physical Deterioration in Rural Schools

The nation's rural school buildings are deteriorating rapidly and need an estimated $1.5 billion in repairs, according to a new study.

Researchers from three universities found that 7.3 percent of 300 rural schools studied last fall have structural problems that make them unsafe for their students and staffs.
